What Santa Didn’t Bring You This Holiday Season
With Christmas just a day away, I thought I would pass along some gifts that Santa probably missed bringing you this year. I’m giving away some of my favorite websites here but what the hell.
Super cool retro Atari graphics that will not only dress up a bland wall but give you instant cred. (with your parents?!)
Who said quality art had to be expensive? It also doesn’t have to be some local crap stuff either. (how many skulls painted on reclaimed wood can you stand really?) If you are tired of posters on your walls, check out this site for affordable, original art. Photographs are typically the most “approachable” pieces but this abstract by Jennifer Sanchez makes more of a statement. Still finding the stuff too expensive? Pick a smaller size.
Watches are a dime a dozen…which is why the smart money is on timeless classics. The ironman series from Timex has definitely been around for a minute but the colors keep us coming back for more. Under $30? Sold.
We here at the Flowerhouse are big fans of vests. Sweater vests, corduroy vest, life vests…essentially anything that keeps your core warm while leaving your arms free is good with us. (I have this vintage Adidas vest that I continue to wear even though the zipper is coming off and the ends are fraying – I just can’t quit you Adidas down vest!) While I wouldn’t take this Polo vest up Mt. Rainier, its perfect for those chilly Phoenix mornings when your running to the Spot for a soy chai and a bagel. Yum.
